Rocky
Gap Music Pavilion -- Cumberland, Maryland
In
a continuation of LEI’s work with the Rocky Gap resort in Western
Maryland, LEI worked with DNC Architects to design and engineer an 8,000
seat outdoor amphitheater and stage on the shores of beautiful Lake
Habeeb for the Maryland Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO).
The facility, under construction in the summer 2001, will host
the annual Music Festival and other events. LEI provided design,
survey, civil engineering, environmental permitting and landscape
planning for this latest addition to the resort.
Kent
Commons -- Stevensville, Maryland
LEI,
working for Petrie Ventures, Inc. and Wal-Mart, is providing site
planning, civil engineering and development permitting services for a
proposed mixed-use commercial development encompassing a Wal-Mart Superstore and Hotel site
and various retail and restaurant uses on Route 50 in Stevensville.
The site incorporates innovative architecture and
significant traffic improvements to adjacent roads.
Home
Depot -- Talbot County, Maryland
Talbot
Commerce Park, behind the Black and Decker facility just outside Easton,
is the site for a proposed new 134,000 sq. ft. Home Depot.
LEI is working for Petrie Ventures, Inc. and Home Depot and
providing site planning, civil engineering and development permitting
services. Innovative architecture and stormwater management facilities are
proposed for the site.
Staples
Office Supply -- Easton, Maryland
LEI
designed the site plan for a
new Staples Office Supply Store in Easton.
The site lies on Elliot Road across from the Wal-Mart Store.
LEI will provided civil engineering and
surveying services for the site design and local permitting.
Canvasback Lane Project -- Dorchester County,
Maryland
This a 12 lot, completely forested, residential subdivision
served by Dorchester County municipal sewer and on site wells. The subdivision is
comprised of lots ranging in size from 1 acre to 4.5 acres. Each lot and building pad was
specifically designed to avoid nontidal wetlands and address State of Maryland and
Dorchester County forest conservation regulations while achieving the owners desires of a
full service county road serving 12 new lots. Specifics considered in the project included
close coordination with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, State of Maryland Fish Heritage
and Wildlife Agency as well as the local Highway Department as the subdivision is in a
valuable wildlife area. Currently, Lane Engineering is completing construction stakeout
after guiding the project through the various local approval processes.
Petrie Dierman & Kughn -- Commercial Subdivision --
Easton, Maryland
LEI
is
currently providing consulting services for this 8-lot commercial
subdivision on Route 50 and Chapel Road in Easton. The project is expected to include Home
Depot on one of the larger lots as well as nationally known restaurants on the
out-parcels. LEI is providing environmental, surveying and civil engineering services to
complete the following work:

Site
Colonial Manor Assisted Living Facility -- Easton,
Maryland
This project
involved four new buildings near Easton Memorial
Hospital, each to house 16 assisted living residents. LEI is provided
survey, civil engineering, environmental permitting and landscape
planning for the site design, roads and parking areas. Additionally, we
designed the stormwater management facility and assisted in the acquisition of Army
Corps wetlands permits. Phase I, 32 units are currently under
construction (summer 2001).
Expansion To
I.A.M.
Dormitory and Classrooms - Leonardtown, Maryland
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace
Workers have a facility at Placid Harbor in St. Marys County; the William W.
Winpisinger Education and Technology Center. Lane Engineering
provided site design
services for the expansion of the centers dormitory and classroom facilities. This
work included site grading, drainage, sediment control and design of the on-site
wastewater disposal system. LEI worked on this project in
conjunction with DNC Architects and James G. Davis Construction,
Inc.
