Boyce Mill Road – Street Reconstruction
This project involved the complete reconstruction of Boyce Mill Road. The design addressed the entire 1375 ft length of the failing roadway, the repair and replacement of the existing gravity sewer system and provided a closed storm drain system for the roadway and surrounding areas.
The project involved the repair, replacement and rehabilitation or existing gravity sewer mains and services, primarily using slip-lining technology. The project also included the installation of new curb & gutter, driveway entran ces, the reconstruction of road base, the installation of pavement base and surface asphalt pavement courses and the relocation of an 8” water main. The roadway and surrounding area has been provided a storm water collection system where none existed.
Lane Engineering, LLC was responsible for engineering and environmental reports, planning, engineering design, specifications, funding assistance for USDA-RUS and CDBG funds, permitting, bidding, award, construction management, routine on-site construction inspection and project closeout. Fixed fee quotes for design services were not exceeded.
